    Description

      We need to upload several third-party JARs to our repository. All we have is the JARs (which were built by Maven). The maven-install-plugin has a feature which allows to use the information (groupId, artifactId, version) from the packaged pom.xml. Adding this feature to the maven-deploy-plugin would allow us to simplify the maintenance of our repository.

      The attached patch is based on the maven-install-plugin.
