      Description

Create a port of Java Luke to .NET for use with Lucene.Net

See attachments for a 1.4 compatible version or https://bitbucket.org/thoward/luke.net-incbuating for a partial implementation that is 2.9.2 compatible.

The attached version was contributed by Pasha Bizhan, and the bitbucket version was contributed by Aaron Powell (above version is a fork, original at https://bitbucket.org/slace/luke.net). If source code from either is used, a software grant must be provided from the original authors.

The final version should be 2.9.4 compatible and implement most or all features of Java Luke 1.0.1 (see http://code.google.com/p/luke/ ).

A much appreciated work. I had been considering doing something similar for some time mainly so that I could integrate our own analyzers and query language.

However, I can't open any of my indexes.
I've looked at the src and it seems it's built against Lucene.net 1.4. Is this right?

Yes. It's from very very old archives.

Public fork of Luke.Net on bitbucket as a staging area to prepare the code for ingestion. Waiting on Licensing issues to be resolved.

The bitbucket version is a WPF application and I suppose we want the resulting application to run under Mono. I suggest we use the Pasha Bizhan version. I have made a 2.9.2-version and if we agree that we want to continue with the Bizhan version work can begin.

A 2.9.2-version of Pasha's code can be found at https://bitbucket.org/mammo/lukesharp

I think that code can be used with some work. Should we continue with this?

Also, using Pasha's code would, if I understand things correctly, make the resolution of LUCENENET-397 easier.
