This documentation page discusses building log4cxx using ant:

It references cpptasks 1.0b5 or later from the Ant-Contrib Project. Unfortunately the ant-contrib ZIP file does not provide the cpptasks classes, nor does it provide a jar file with those classes. The ant-contrib project looks as if work stopped about 2004. http://ant-contrib.sourceforge.net/. The cpptasks project has a date of 2008 on its web page: http://ant-contrib.sourceforge.net/cpptasks/index.html

I recommend updating the build instructions to warn people away from using ant.
