Description
The incubating Apache PDFBox project includes Bitstream Vera fonts. These fonts are available from http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/ttf-bitstream-vera/1.10/ and come under the permissive license shown in http://www.gnome.org/fonts/#Final_Bitstream_Vera_Fonts. The only "special" requirement of the license is the following:
The Font Software may be sold as part of a larger software package but no copy of one or more of the Font Software typefaces may be sold by itself.
In other words, this would prevent someone from selling just the font files bundled in a PDFBox release. That seems highly unlikely as the fonts are already free for use by anyone.
Is it OK for an Apache project to distribute font files under this Bitstream Vera font license?
