    Description

      A background thread is needed to check periodically which tokens are expired, and remove them. The checking period must be configurable in gateway-site.xml. The default cleaning time is 30 minutes.

      Change the initialization of the verifier, so it is only enabled if configured in gateway-site.xml, so it is not checking and running a background thread if it is not used.
