This issue was detected in 1.0.0 RC2.

The following step in streams quick start crashes Java on Windows 10:
bin/kafka-run-class.sh org.apache.kafka.streams.examples.wordcount.WordCountDemo

I tracked this down to this change, and it seems to new version of RocksDB is to blame. I tried the quick start with the previous version of RocksDB (5.7.3) and did not run into this issue.
