Description

There are regular requests on the mailing lists to support pattern matching on the node name in a query.

The standard XML function fn:local-name() would provide access to the local name of a node. Please note that due to the mapping specified in JSR 170 the local name will be encoded if it contains an invalid XML character like a space. E.g. for the node name (without quotes) 'My Documents' the function would return 'My_x0020_Documents'.
