[JAMES-1202] Inconsistent STAT, UIDL, LIST results when using Outlook POP3 and a webmail/IMAP client

Description

When account holders use both a web mail client (roundcube) and Outlook/POP3 to access their mail, they regularly get the message from Outlook:

"Your POP3 server is providing inconsistent information. The number of messages returned by the STAT command does not match the number of items returned by the UIDL or LIST commands."

It looks as if UIDL is returning the correct result, but STAT and LIST are not for some reason.
