Thanks Brian, I'll continue to dig around on my end then. I am able to log into http://repository.apache.org.

Do you know of a way to issue an HTTP HEAD request or something similar manually, just to verify credentials? Or maybe a mvn command line thing to do the same?

if you can login, that's a start. If you login and click on central stats and see the pig project in your dropdown, then you can confirm access to the pig components. Are you sure you have your ~/.m2/settings.xml configured with your credentials?

I can see the central stats so I guess I have the perms I need. I'll go over my ~/.m2/settings.xml and ~/.m2/settings-security.xml files again to see what I might have missed and will report back. Thanks for your help!

<danielsh> Re issuing a HEAD request: do you mean just, 'curl -u danielsh -X HEAD'? (and maybe a few -H "Header: value" too, not sure about that part)

I'm no longer able to login even via the http://repository.apache.org web UI. I'm using the username billgraham and my LDAP password that works fine on people.apache.org. Can you please check my authorization again?

[~danielsh] re the HEAD request I was just wondering if there was a simple way to check credentials without waiting for an artifact upload before getting a 401. I think though that without being able to login to http://repository.apache.org, file uploads (or HEAD) requests probably aren't going to work.

<pctony> Bill, you have locked your account again. You have 9 failed attempts within 6 minutes. You need unlock your account by using the password reset mechanism (https://id.apache.org) If this is resulting from you trying to ush in to Nexus, can I please suggest that you check your user/pass

Again? I never realized it was locked previously. Not sure how the lock happened, but resetting my password works. I can now access the web UI and I can upload files via mvn. Thanks!
