      Description

The ODE project PMC would like to have the codebase migrated to the ASF git hosting infrastructure.

The unix name is ode, the svn is located here: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ode. The project layout is pretty standard.

We would like to have to have 2 git repos:
ode.git, which takes trunk (as master), branches and tags.
ode-sandbox.git, which takes the sandbox directory

ode/site should remain writable as it hosts our website contents.

      Thanks!

        Hi,

Would it be possible to extract ode/trunk/jacob* (4 locations) to a separate ode-jacob.git repository while keeping the history? If that is possible it would be great, if not, we'd like to get an empty ode-jacob.git repository and will move the code manually from the one to the other.

        Thanks,
          Tammo

In a very strict sense, it is possible to extract ode/trunk/jacob, but you would still have jacob under the ode repo as well.

That sounds great, we can then remove it from the main repo manually (which keeps the main repo's history intact) and can have the history in the new jacob repo as well. Would be great if you could do that.

        Main repo is here:
        http://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/ode.git

It is currently read-only, as is your SVN tree. I'll get the other repo up shortly, and update this ticket. Please review the git repo and once the PMC is satisfied update this ticket and I'll make it writable.

David, thanks for getting the repos done. Both repos work, they look like what I'd expect. I could commit, but not push with a "Write access is currently disabled", which was expected. The git log also reports what I expected. It looks good. Thanks a bunch!

        Hi David,

many thanks for getting this done. Both repos look good. From our side we can switch over to git.

        Thanks,

I've made both repos writable, and also made /ode/site writable in SVN.

Let me know if you experience any issues.
