<danielsh> Correction, I didn't file an issue for that (the p.i.a.o work obsoletes the problem), but I'll solicit patches from general@.

<danielsh> Well the best fix is for someone to write python+svnmucc glue code to add the Redirect directive to the .htaccess file - so we call that code from the graduating script. I've filed an issue for that

As a web-minded developer, I felt this lack of redirect a bad thing for the health of this project... Nothing more... Any attitude was resulting from your "setting up the redirect is your responsibility" response to my attempt to notify the Cordova team of this non-existent redirect on the previous project URL - 'my responsibility' with me, currently being nothing more than a random, non-contributing Googler seeking the project after sending the incubator URL to my team as we are considering the framework...

I find Cordova a promising framework and would like for it's community and adoption to grow - something that 404s on the main Google indexed URL can hinder...

In any case, as I am not yet a contributor, I had to edit the .htaccess anon - but it has been done.

        Thanks for your assistance.

<danielsh> Quit the attitude, edit the .htaccess on incubagtor's site and publish it.

Unless I have misunderstood, this is a nonsensical response and this issue should not be closed...

I do not manage the incubator.apache.org server, nor do I have the power to administer redirects for the domain...

If you currently search for this Cordova project (say, in Google), you will see that anyone attempting to access this project will be greeted with a lovely 404... Also problematic is the fact that much of the existing project documentation links to the incubator url, which is of course now broken without redirect...

If you would be kind enough to assign me admin domain control, I would be happy to put the redirect in place for you...

<danielsh> Yes the move was done earlier today, setting up the redirect is your responsibility (see incubator docs)

It would appear that this move has occurred, yet no redirect has been configured forincubator.apache.org/cordova > cordova.apache.org - instead, http://incubator.apache.org/cordova results in a 404
