      Description

We wanted to switch the Giraph project to a git repository instead of subversion (and git-svn). See https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GIRAPH-430

What needs to be done for this?

          Nitay:

I've migrated Giraph to git here:
          https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/giraph.git

          It is currently read-only.

I've also made your svn repo read only. (I'll make giraph/site and giraph/logo writable after you sign off on the git repo.)

Please have the Giraph PMC review the git repo - and if they are satisified (or not) update this ticket and I'll make it writable.

i'm a member of the PMC, this looks good to me (at least the last few commits, directory structure, and it passes 'mvn clean install').

          [~jghoman] any thoughts?

Sweet, [~ke4qqq] can we make the git repo writable?

Also will the github / apache (git.apache.org) repos automatically follow this new git repo instead of the SVN one now?

          Nitay, et al:

          Git repo is writable.
/giraph/logo and giraph/site are writable in SVN.

github and git.a.o will not be automatically updated - and that needs to be a separate ticket (I don't have privs on git.a.o so can't help you without this.)
