        Do I need approval to spend $40? I'll take the CC # from anyone who will supply it, thanks. I'd like to get this done this week and to my horror it is now Thursday.

        <danielsh> Multiple people have access to the credit card details. Do you already have approval for the spending? (do you need one?)

        The Plan so far:

        * Establish Apple ID against root@apache.org (per danielsh on IRC)
        * Use Infra (rubys) credit card to make purchases (per pctony on IRC)
        * ML Upgrade, log back in, check functionality of sshd, key auth and sudo/OPIE
        * Purchase and install Server App
        * Check and update Apache configuration to include Gump, Jenkins

        Costs are downright reasonable:
        * Mountain Lion operating system upgrade: $19.99
        * OS X Server app: $19.99

        Unless anyone objects, I'll create an Apple ID based on infrastructure-private@apache.org and communicate the password somehow to infra.

        While the sshd access has been hacked up to support the pubkey authentication required by infra, the Screen Sharing functionality uses the regular account passwords. So even if the upgrade hoses the former, the latter should continue to work.

        AIUI we do not have an Apple account, and thus will need one.

        Knowledge Base article that covers upgrade: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5381

        You can go directly from Snow Leopard Server to Mountain Lion w/ the Server App. No need for intermediate Lion upgrade.

        Buy OS, Server App from the App Store. I think Server App will be useful because we are running on Server hardware.

        Costs TBD.
