      Description

      [Cloning INFRA-5220 for Pig]

      Jira has a feature where users can subscribe to an issue search, receiving email about issues matching the filter on some schedule. dev@pig.apache.org would like to receive daily emails for the following query:

      {noformat}
      project = PIG AND status = "Patch Available"
      {noformat}

      As an individual user, I created this saved search, and have it sent to my personal email address. However, I do not have permissions to send this report to others.

      Reading https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Receiving+Search+Results+via+Email I learned the "Manage Group Filter Subscriptions" global permission is required to send others email.

      Can someone with the appropriate Jira permissions setup a daily email for the above query, or grant someone in the Pig project permissions to set this up?

          You are now in the all-developers group, which has permissions to share filters with others.

          (Note we do not create role accounts for mailing lists to share filters, so you'll have to set that in your shared filter)

          Thanks Gavin, I'm able to share the search but I'm still unable to subscribe dev@pig.apache.org to it. INFRA-5220 had a similar issue. I believe the fix there was to enable Manage Group Filter Subscriptions.

          <pctony> I have done this, and you will now get daily emails based on this filter. In fact you might already have the first one.
