<pctony> Firstly, we're not grand masters. Please refrain from using such. If we create this site, you can use it as a wiki, but we no longer allow/suport the use of the autoexport plugin as this is being retired at the end of this calendar year. You may find that moin is more suitable (and quicker) for your needs in this case. Please confirm if you want to retain Confulence as your choice.

Thanks Tony. The logic behind Confluence was that there were some existing content on https://wiki.nci.nih.gov/display/VKC/cTAKES+2.6 which also uses confluence. We thought it would be simpler to import the content w/o having to worry about different wiki tags, etc. What are you thoughts- have others done similar things? Thanks.

        Pei,

I cannot comment for others, but if you intend to disseminate these pages anywhere other than the live CWIKI site, either exported or saved as HTML whatever - then you are out of luck. This feature will be turned off in December and you will be required to move to something else. Please let us know.

Tony, Thanks for the info. Feel free to close this ticket for now (we'll reopen it if necessary); We'll continue to see how far we get with Apache CMS for now. We'll think about this a tad more with this consideration now.

I tried to import the space and got :

•Restore denied. You can only restore space backups exported from the same major version (e.g. 2.2.x or 2.3.x).

You may need to wait until we can upgrade our confluence, or I can create an empty space for you to populate. (?)

When might you be upgrading Confluence? NCI was on Confluence 4. The error show is generic. What version precisly of Confluence are you on?

Troy, just checking, which of these are you choosing to do:

        1. Supply a new export at the same major confluence version as the ASF version.
        2. Wait for the ASF version to be upgraded.
        3. Accept an empty confluence wiki that you'll populate manually ?

        thx

I've been trying to mess with the markdown syntax and migrate to that but it is just so limiting. Things just don't work out like you'd want. The work of creating an import at the right release is prohbative and I kind-of doubt you'll be updating soon enough. So please create an empty Confluence wiki and I'll try to populate manually. Thanks Gavin.

I'm going to need the CWIKI usernames of folks that are to be Space Admins (And those space admins can add individuals with more restricted perms to be able to edit the wiki but not admin)

Note we are not connected to LDAP for the confluence wiki, so if you dont have an acct please create one, if possible the same as your Apache ID so its easier when we do move to LDAP in the future.

        Thx.

Done for both of you, admins.
Now you can add others, please restrict most to the same perms I gave myself.
I have added no groups, just add folks to the 'Individual' section of the cwiki, same deal, they may also need to create accts first before you can add them in.

Any issues let me know. (catch me in #asfinfra on freenode is one option)
