      Description

Since a while we have some trouble with JIRA workflow either on COCOON and COCOON3.

In fact, the selected workflow "Cocoon Workflow" does not seem the one we used to have: I tried to see if there is a menu entry for changing this but I wasn't able to find it.

After some more investigation, it seems that you need global admin permission for modifying any workflow [1]: unfortunately, no one of us have these: could you help, please? We are stuck with an almost unusable JIRA...

Both COCOON and COCOON3 use the "Cocoon workflow" that seems to have changed without notice, recently.

I would like first to understand if there is something to fix or not: in the latter case, I would like to either be able to edit that workflow definition (in order to correct it) or change to default workflow.

        Thanks!

See COCOON3-64 for example, issue can only be closed, not assigned not fixed.
And it doesn't use to be like this.

The workflow hasn't changed since its creation it seems.

And no, we usually do not give out global JIRA admin permissions.

So I'm asking again: Please be more specific as to what you want! What is it that's not working? How is it supposed to work? And what should we do to fix it?

Assigning and closing the issue works just fine (see attached screenshot). Also, your workflow doesn't specify a "Resolved" state so of course, you can't resolve issues. Closing an issue with resolution "fixed" is possible though.

        Hi Uli!

simply, we don't have any control on the Workflow anymore :( The [screenshot|http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/9075/screenshot20120504at259.png] shows that, even if we both are Admins of the Cocoon(3) Projects, looks like we don't have karma anymore to change the Issue status, the Workflow button is disabled.

        Any hint?
many thanks in advance, all the best!

That button is disabled because there are buttons for all steps necessary for your specific workflow. Only if there were additional steps that wouldn't fit in the standard set of buttons the workflow button would be enabled. Same for e.g. INFRA. Workflow button is disabled because there isn't anything special beyond the standard set of actions.
