      Description

The incubating Sqoop project was previously hosted by Cloudera and the issue tracking system was JIRA located at https://issues.cloudera.org/browse/SQOOP. We would like to get the information in Cloudera hosted JIRA to be migrated to the ASF JIRA.

Mark - thanks for the prompt turn-around. I verified the setting by creating a dummy issue in Sqoop and its ID was 301 indeed.

SQOOP is read/write and the first issue should be SQOOP-301

After evaluating the various options to migrate Jira from Cloudera to ASF for the SQOOP project, it is decided that we will continue to keep issues filed in Cloudera there itself. New issues will be filed in ASF Jira and therefore the issue numbering needs to be adjusted so that it does not overlap with existing issues in Clouder Jira instance.

ASF Infra team: Please refer to [1] for details on how this can be done. Please set the starting issue number for SQOOP to 237.

Tony, thanks for waiting. We are having a similar discussion for FLUME project on INFRA-3764 and will likely use the same solution for both of these issues.

Can you please join the thread on INFRA-3764 and share your thoughts?

        Thanks,

I'd say 700, so as to prevent anything being added.

Thanks Tony. By securing them, you mean 755 permissions, or do you recommend even stricter permissions?

Arvind, put them in your ~ on people.a.o and secure them. We can grab them from there.

The export of Cloudera JIRA will be available on July 12, 2011. Please let me know if it is OK to attach it to this JIRA or is there another preferred means to deliver the export. Thanks.
