    Description

AFAICT there are over 16,000 emails in the lists.a.o database where the Message-Id was not parsed correctly, and still contains a line break.

It's not currently possible to find these by Message-ID, so any such ASF mod_mbox Permalinks will not work.

      Sample message:

      http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/cassandra-user/201102.mbox/<D5754BB0E6823D478CFB0976D4E712190169E7@SZXEML505-MBS.china.huawei.com>

This is because the parser failed to remove the line-wrap between the header and the value.

      The following does work:

      http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/cassandra-user/201102.mbox/%0A%20<D5754BB0E6823D478CFB0976D4E712190169E7@SZXEML505-MBS.china.huawei.com>

However I don't think we can expect users to apply this work-round, nor is it something that can be done by the redirection server. It needs to be fixed at the lists.a.o server.

Ideally the database entries should be fixed, but a work-round is to look for both the supplied id and the id prefixed with LF and space (as can be seen in the email details [1])
