Description
Existing mod_mbox Permalinks have the form:
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/<list-id>/YYYYMM.mbox/<Message-ID>
There are some other variants for the raw message:
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/<list-id>/YYYYMM.mbox/raw/<Message-ID>
and the links in the index pages:
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/<list-id>/YYYYMM.mbox/raw/<Message-ID>
Similarly for the private archives.
This means that there is sufficient info to be able to convert mod_mbox Permalinks into data that can be used to search lists.a.o:
Message-ID
List name
month (though lists.a.o originally used local time and it believes the Date: field rather than the arival time so the search may need to ignore the date)
--
However note that such conversion is not likely to be possible for historical Permalinks generated by PonyMail/lists.a.o because the message id generators are very sensitive to the exact form of the input (and the software environment).
