[IMPALA-8555] Spill tests run very slowly on CentOS 6

Description

On some recent automated test runs on CentOS 6, exhaustive mode the spilling tests in parallel E2E tests took about 2 hours to run. This was probably the root caused that pushed the job over the self-installed 20-hour timeout (which IMPALA-8554 complains about).
