Description

We'd like counters – and potentially time-series if you think that's appropriate – to identify time spent by queries waiting for resources to become available. Specifically, we'd like to be able to know the amount of time spent waiting for memory to become available, time spent waiting for HDFS or HBase IO to complete, and time spent waiting on the network. If there are any locks that you gusy wait on and there's a way to communicate the time spent waiting on those, we'd like those as well.
