Description

Running this on my laptop with Ubuntu 12.04 runs forever and basically kills the machine due to excessive resource consumption:

./buildall.sh -notests

I've attached the output of

./buildall.sh -notests > buildall.out

I aborted after some time. My HEAD was at c2faf4a8a13ba89f2f4f2bc4fbd878cffda53d1f

I have a feeling this might have something to do with the following change:
