Test & fix invalid data handling in compressed text scanners

    Description

      Add gzip/snappy/etc scanners to fuzz testing and enable the testing.

      I saw some occasional crashes when testing this out, so it will need some investigation and many iterations of the fuzz test to be sure that the test won't be flaky.
