Description

Right now, Impala depends on https://github.com/cloudera/native-toolchain/ and https://github.com/cloudera/Impala/tree/cdh5-trunk/thirdparty. These include open-source packages, but they are specific versions, sometimes built with specific options (see https://issues.cloudera.org/browse/IMPALA-3483).

It should be easy for prospective Impala developers to get the tools they need to build and test Impala without depending on binary blobs provided by Cloudera, even if those blobs are derived from open source projects.

As much as possible, Impala should depend on "upstream" dependencies, like those provided by the user's OS package manager or the projects themselves.
