Description

Our test_ddl,py runs serially and takes around 20 minutes to complete.

It is a prime candidate to be made more parallel as part of IMPALA-3491.

However, test_ddl.py has become so huge and unwieldy that we first need to clean and split it up before we can even attempt to apply the unique_database fixture (I have tried, too hard).

This JIRA tracks the cleanup task.
