Per conversation with Oleg in user ML (http://httpcomponents.10934.n7.nabble.com/Proxy-chaining-tp19965p23618.html), I'm attaching a patch that should allow for greater extensibility of the HttpClientBuilder and MainExecClient in an attempt to introduce chain proxies without an all-out branching of HttpClient as a whole.
