[HOP-1866] checkboxes don'twork

Description

Checkboxes in dialogs in hop gui don't work as expected. They are displayed, but clicking them does not change the value. I also checked that it is not only a display problem but the value is saved, but that is not the case.

This is on Fedora32 using Gnome3 display manager.
