Description

The Hive build currently runs with maven-shade-plugin version 3.1.1, released in April 2018. This issue proposes to upgrade to the latest version, 3.4.1, released in October 2022. See HIVE-26648 for an example of another patch that is blocked due to a bug in version 3.1.1.
