Description
Straightforward use case: My UDFs should be able to condition on whether hive.mapred.mode=strict or nonstrict.
But these things could also be useful for certain optimizations. For example, a UDAF knowing that there is only one reduce phase could avoid a lot of pushing data around unnecessarily.
