HIVE-8064 seems to have introduced this code in RexNodeConverter::convert(), but the parameters look like they are wrongly passed :

        RelDataType relType = cluster.getTypeFactory().createSqlType(SqlTypeName.DECIMAL,
            bd.scale(), unscaled.toString().length());
