GetSchemas thrift call is slow on scale of 1000+ databases

    Description

      Similar to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-7575 GetSchemas also starts to degrade in latency starting at the order of 1000+ databases, which returned in about 30 seconds.

      However, SHOW DATABASES on the same Hive instance returns within a few seconds.
