Description

Hadoop daemons (NN/DN/JT/TT) should support generic command-line options (i.e. -nn / -jt/ -conf / -D) by implementing the Tool interface.

This is particularly useful for cases where the masters(NN/JT) are to be configured dynamically e.g. via HoD.

(I suspect we will need to possibly tweak some the the hadoop scripts too, possibly.)
