    Description

      Random Write access would be a very attractive feature for Hadoop DFS to become a general purpose Distributd File System, a filesystem for not only map/reduce jobs but also distributed databases (relational or not), world wide-traffic web sites, media storage systems, using commodity hardware instead of SANs/NASs
