Description

There doesn't seem to be an existing way to easily verify whether a Hadoop/HDFS client correctly receives the FsServerDefaults from the NameNode.

Here I propose extending hadoop getconf command with parameter -serverDefaults. When executed, the client shall get FsServerDefaults from the specified NameNode and print the configuration values out.
