Description

FYI, In HADOOP-10571, Andras Bokor is going to clean up a lot of the log statements, including some in Datanode and elsewhere.

I'm provisionally +1 on that, but want to run it on the standalone tests (Yetus has already done them), and give the HDFS developers warning of a change which is going to touch their codebase.

If anyone doesn't want the logging improvements, now is your chance to say so
