Description

The HDFS Architecture documentation has a section titled "Staging" that describes clients writing to a local temporary file first before interacting with the NameNode to allocate file metadata. This information is incorrect. (Perhaps it was correct a long time ago, but it is no longer accurate with respect to the current implementation.)
