Description

In Hive, or in MR jobs the FileSystem counters are reported based on the statistics inside the FileSystem implementation, at the moment we do not have any read bytes statistics reported, while we have the number of bytes written and the read and write operation count.

This JIRA is to add the number of bytes read statistics and record it in the FileSystem implementation.
