In hadoop-0.14.3,

hadoop dfs -cat file1 file2
hello
koji

in hadoop-0.15.1

hadoop dfs -cat file1 file2
hello
cat: Unable to write to output stream.

Each file has one line. file1: 'hello' file2: 'koji'
