Description

This is to define the even higher level API ErasureCodec to possiblly consider all the essential aspects for an erasure code, as discussed in in HDFS-7337 in details. Generally, it will cover the necessary configurations about which RawErasureCoder to use for the code scheme, how to form and layout the BlockGroup, and etc. It will also discuss how an ErasureCodec will be used in both client and DataNode, in all the supported modes related to EC.
