    Description

Currently, switching between connections within Guacamole requires going back and forth between the current connection and the home screen. While multiple connections may technically be open simultaneously, and thumbnails of those connections update in real-time on the home screen, switching between connections still requires navigation between two pages.

There should exist a convenient mechanism for:

      • Displaying multiple active connections within the same tab for monitoring and fast switching (iconified / thumbnailed connections ... like picture-in-picture)
      • Splitting the current tab vertically or horizontally such that multiple active connections are equivalently visible (with keyboard focus following mouse interaction)
      • Quickly opening a new connection without going all the way back to the home screen

Besides being convenient and powerful in itself, such an interface can form the foundation of support for broadcasting input events across multiple connections, as is commonly necessary when managing multiple servers via several open terminals.
