Major Description
All DataStore-s implement Configurable but DataStoreFactory doesn't allow to set Configuration as a part of the creation / initialization process. This is especially important when a store implementation uses values not defined in property files but defined in Configuration (e.g. applying overrides or configuring clients to external systems, like HBase).
