      Description

Apache is working on pure-git support. See https://git-wip-us.apache.org/
From what I can tell incoming new projects are being setup as pure-git, and this service has been running fairly stable for a while now.

What do folks think about switching to this?

I don't mind, but let's just make sure that it is totally supported and we aren't early adopters here.

You definitely won't be early adopters and/or alone – the list of projects using Git @Apache is now fairly large.

Heads up this should be happening soon-ish. I have been talking to ASF infrastructure folks. When this happens they will freeze the SVN repository to be read only and switch us over.

Done! We are now using https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/giraph.git as our code repository. I will update the site accordingly soon.
