Description
In order to have a transparent and elegant YARN setup, the shell needs a parameter to specify how many task slots each task manager should offer.
If that flag is not specified, then each taskmanager will offer as many slots as the JVM determines system cores. We may think about changing that to a default of one, to make it more predictable.
