In the voting mailing list for flink-kubernetes-operator version 1.6.1, Thomas mentioned Kubernetes operator cannot compile with java 17.

Offline discussion with gyfora , we hope Kubernetes operator supports compiling with Java 17 as a critical ticket in 1.7.0.
