Description

We need to modify the current source stream task to run sources in a separate thread that is mutually exclusive to the mailbox mode thread. See section 4 in https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eDpsUKv2FqwZiS1Pm6gYO5eFHScBHfULKmH1-ZEWB4g
