      Description

      Steps to reproduce:
      1. Install AIRBench from the Android market or install Survey Monkey on a Droid.
      2. Take a picture using the CameraUI.

Actual Results: App restarts because of excessive memory usage. Displaying a 1MB image using <s:Image> uses 20 - 22MB of memory.

Expected Results: Displaying a 1MB image shouldn't use so much memory.

Workaround (if any): Scaling the image in ActionScript and putting it on the display list manually might be a work around. In other words, don't use Flex.

Some notes on discoverability: both Dan and I found this bug building our first Flex mobile applications. I've also seen reports from customers using Droids.
