It would be great if functions or components could be started in a different thread, so that multithreading (background processing) can be implemented.
Since flex will be used as application development tool multithreading could greatly enhance the user experience.
For instance: I'm loading information from a webservice that's used to build a lot of components on the fly.
This takes a lot of time, during which the user cannot do anything, although it would be very usefull if he or she could work further during processing.
