Default Build fails on linux box with 4 gigs of ram

      Description

      watching the system monitor I can see the memory climb throughout the build process. Need to look at how to get memory to be freed sooner after each test.

        Default behavior is now to run four separate test threads, each with up to 4gb of memory. If you want to run on a smaller machine, override the number of forks.
