Description
There are two primary reasons for this redesign:
- There are a number of observed instabilities in the router network during certain types of topology changes
- Convergence on a stable and correct topology sometimes takes a long time. I've observed topology changes that were not completely stabilized until up to 30 seconds after the change.
The current structure of the routing tables in the router_node fastpath will not be changed by this activity. The redesign is limited to the Python implementation of the routing protocol and the route computation.
