Dispatch charts gather data even when not viewing the chart on the dashboard. If the console is disconnected, the data collection stops but the data that was already gathered is not cleared.
If the console is then reconnected and the chart is viewed, there will be a gap in the data.
For rate charts this will be misleading. The rate won't be zero but will be averaged over the rate period and will affect the graph both before and after the disconnected period.
This simple solution is to discard the chart's data when the console disconnects.
